Sensational Producer, Adesanya Oladoyin Joshua, popularly known as D'Tunes is no longer working with the Kukere Master, Iyanya.
This is an ugly trend in the entertainment industry and if stakeholders do not come together to discuss it and maybe fashion out the way forward, Nigeria's music industry might just find itself swimming in mediocrity in the not too distant future.
But whenever these break ups happen, one or both parties find it difficult to survive...
Since D'banj left Don Jazzy, he has barely managed to remain relevant in Nigeria with his Top Of The World track, while Don Jazzy is yet to produce any hit track for any of the artiste he's now working with. The list indeed is endless.
Why the break up if not due to greed? Iyanya was a struggling musician, about four years after he won MTN project fame until he met this hardworking young man called D'Tunes. Today, if anyone is celebrating Iyanya's music, it's because of the 3 Tracks D'Tunes produced for him -- Kukere, Ur Waist and Flavour.
I hear from a close source that Iyanya has refused to pay him 'something reasonable' considering the role he played in his career. To show how good D'Tunes is as a producer, he once disclosed that it took him just about 20 minutes to produce the hit track, Kukere.
Anyway, he couldn't endure been disregarded anymore and now he's gone. I hear the young man has set up his own record label, to promote other artiste.
