DEPUTY Director, Public Affairs, West African Examination Council
(WAEC), Mr Yusuf Ari, said, on Friday, that the result of the 2012
November/December Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) would be
released in two weeks time.
Ari, while stating this during an interview in Lagos, said that the council of the examination body had ensured that the results would be released on schedule.
¡°I want to express satisfaction at the conduct of this year¡¯s examination. We had finished the marking exercise for the Nov/Dec SSCE for private candidates since November.
¡°The entire process of conducting and collating was quite impressive because there were no negative re- ports from any of the centres nationwide.
¡°We used limited logistics, and this to a great extent relaxed the pressure we normally had during the May/June examination¡±, he said.
Ari, however pleaded with candidates and other stakeholders to be mindful of the activities of touts around the offices of the council, in order not to be victims of their fraudulent acts.
He said there was the need for members of the public and government at all levels to assist the council in its effort to protect innocent citizens from the persistent exploits of the touts
