THEY RAPED AND HACKED HER TO DEATH’: 50- YEAR-OLD WOMAN KILLED IN OGUN

A middle aged foreign woman resident in Ogun is
said to have lost her life after being raped by a gang
of men
The 50-year-old woman, identified simply as Mama
Friday, is said to have been s*xually assaulted and
h*cked to death.
The incident occurred in the Agbelora area of
Abeokuta, the state capital where the Beninoise
woman was said to reside alone.
Premium Times reports:
The mother of five lived alone; while her husband,
a bricklayer, worked in Ifo town, about 40
minutes drive from Abeokuta.
The suspects reportedly forced their way through
a window into the woman’s home around
midnight, raped and h*cked her to death.
When PREMIUM TIMES visited the scene of the
crime, police officers were seen removing the body
to State Hospital Mortuary, Sokenu, Abeokuta.
The sister-in-law of the deceased, who identified
herself as Mariam Idowu, said she heard about
the incident that morning and rushed to the
apartment. Mrs. Idowu said no neighbour heard
any noise while the crime occurred and that the
victim, who sold pap, was only found after her
fellow pap-seller came to call on her when she
failed to show up for work that morning.
“She is my brother’s wife. The husband is a
bricklayer working in Ifo while she lives here. I
just got information this morning that she had
been raped to death and I rushed down here,”
Mrs. Idowu told PREMIUM TIMES.
When contacted, the Ogun State Police Command
spokesperson, Muyiwa Adejobi, said that four
people have been arrested in connection with the
case.
