Rihanna’s multiple missed
court dates in a suit which sees her suing her former
accountants will now tap into her deep pockets. A judge fined the music superstar $ 47,050 for failing to appear in
court for her deposition. Her former money managers, Berdon LLP, had asked the judge to fine Rihanna $100,000, expenses they’ve incurred for multiple missed
appearances from Rihanna
including a scheduled date in London to accommodate the entertainer’s touring schedule.
June 19 was the last missed
court date, which according to Berdon, Rihanna claimed she was sick, but was tweeting the same day about her tour performance.
Berdon LLP has asked the
judge to drop the multi-
million dollar lawsuit, filed by Rihanna and her team, but the judge has scheduled a final
meeting for August 28 to get the matter resolved. If
Rihanna fail to appear, she
stand a chance at losing
millions.
