Angry Mob Set Lecturer On Fire

A lecturer at the Taraba College of Education (COE) Zing,
Alhaji Kassimu Umar, was on Friday burnt to death by
angry mob after he allegedly hit five children with his car
who died on the spot.
The lecturer, Kassimu Umar was reportedly trying to
dodge a trailer, when he hit the kids who were between
the ages of the eight and 11 years.
Confirming the incident, Taraba state Police Public
Relations officer (PPRO), Mr Joseph Kwaji said the late
lecturer was dragged from the Pupule Police Outpost,
where he went to report the incident, and the mob burnt
him to death.
“In the early hours of today, one Kassimu Umar, who is
believed to be a lecturer with COE, Zing had knocked
down five primary school pupils in Zing, who all died on
the spot.
